The Google Job Experiment

The uncommon approach of Alec Brownstein's job-searching did not only land him a spot in Y&R New York but also got himself interviewed by 5 of New York City's top creative directors. In search of a job, the copywriter/director thought of an unusual method to do so. He bought the names of the top NYC creative directors off Google, namely Gerry Graf, David Droga, Tony Granger, Ian Reichenthal and Scott Vitrone. It only cost him $6 because the bid was low and "got the top for 10 cents a click."

The Google Job Experiment got him interviewed with everyone except Granger. He now works for Y&R New York.

The Google Experiment, which only cost Brownstein $6, got him two pencils and a Clio for Best Self Promotions.
